Getting to know Teams for your personal life

Teams for your personal life allows you to keep in touch with the people closest to you, as well as keep track of files, calendar appointments, and more.

Along the bottom of the screen, Teams is organized into tabs. The following is a breakdown of what each tab does.

teams activity tab

Select the Activity tab to view recent reactions and @mentions from your group and one-to-one chats. Learn more about your Activity feed

Teams chat tab

Select the Chat tab to view and access your group and one-to-one chats. Learn how to send and receive messages.

Teams Meet icon  

Select the Meet tab to get everyone together even if they don't have Teams. Learn more about how to create a meeting.

Teams more tab

Select More  Teams More icon to view even more tabs.

Teams Calendar tab

Select the Calendar tab to display your personal calendar, including events you’ve been sent through group and one-to-one chats. Learn more about your group calendar

Teams call icon

Select the Calls tab to access your call history, as well as make calls to your friends and groups in Teams. Learn more about calling in Teams

Teams file tab

Select the Files tab to explore your OneDrive files, which you can access and share from Teams. Learn more about sharing files from OneDrive

Teams location tab

Select the Location tab to choose how you will allow Teams to access your location information and to share your location. Learn more about sharing your location in Teams.

Teams Safe icon

Select the Safe tab to set up and access your Safe, where you can store your valuable and sensitive information across any of your devices. Learn more about using Safe

Teams camera icon

Select the Camera tab to launch Camera, where you can capture, edit, and share pictures with your contacts and groups. Learn more about Camera

Teams tasks icon

Select the Tasks tab to view your individual task list, as well as any group task lists from chats. You can also create task lists and tasks from the Tasks tab. Learn more about Tasks

Tip: You can reorder the way your tabs appear. Select More  More options button , then select Reorder. You can drag and drop your tabs to appear in any order you wish.
