You can directly install add-ins from this page or select More Add-ins to explore. In the Office Add-ins dialog, select My Add-ins tab. Select an add-in you want to view the details for and right-click to select Add-in details option. Click a heading below for more information .

You can use the new web Office Add-ins in most of the Office 2016, Office 2019, and Microsoft 365 applications. Select a heading below to open it and see the detailed instructions.

Use a Store add-in to add new tools or features to Office. Get an Office add-in. Select Insert > Store. In Outlook, select Home > Store. Browse the list of Office Add-ins or search for one in the search box. Select an add-in to learn more about it. Select Add or Buy for the add-in you want.

Use the My Office Add-ins and SharePoint page to check your add-in’s status and retrieve hidden add-ins. In Word 2016, Excel 2016, or PowerPoint 2016 click Home > My Add-ins > More Add-ins . In Project 2016, click Project > My Add-ins .

Click File > Get Add-ins. Alternatively, you can click Home > Add-ins. You can directly install add-ins from this page or select More Add-ins to explore. In the Office Add-ins box, click Store tab. Browse for the add-in you want.

Use an add-in while composing a message. Create a new message or reply to an existing one. From the ribbon, select the Message tab, then choose the add-in you want to use. If the add-in doesn’t appear in the ribbon, select Apps to view your installed add-ins.

If an Office add-in isn’t showing up in the Office Add-ins list, refresh the list to see all of your add-ins. In Word 2016, Excel 2016, or PowerPoint 2016, click Insert > My Add-ins. In Project 2016, click Project > My Add-ins. Then click Refresh to update the list in the Office Add-ins dialog.

Get an Office Store add-in. On the Insert tab, look for the Add-ins group. To get new add-ins, select Get Add-ins. To use add-ins you already have, select My Add-ins . The add-ins you'll see will depend on the kind of Microsoft 365 subscription you have.

Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features to change whether you're shown app recommendations when trying to install apps from outside the Store.

Office add-ins can help you personalize your documents or speed up the way you access information on the web. For example, with an add-in you could look up items on Wikipedia without having to leave Project.
