How to redeem gift cards and codes | Xbox Support
How to redeem a code on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then select Store. Press the View button to open the side menu, and then select Redeem. Enter the 25-character code, select Next, and then follow the prompts.
Using a Microsoft account balance to make a purchase
We’re investigating this issue now. In the meantime, sign in to your account to see your latest refund request status. If you're trying to buy a game or an add-on using your Microsoft account balance, you may not have enough funds in your account to cover the total cost of the item.

Request a refund for digital games | Xbox Support
