On a device that uses battery power, if you select Start > Settings > Personalization > Taskbar and the Power toggle is greyed out or not visible, in the Search box on the taskbar, type device manager, and then select Device Manager in the list of results. Under Batteries, right-click (or long-press) the battery for your device, select Disable, and select Yes.

Note: UEFI passwords are used primarily by enterprises and IT professionals to limit the types of changes that employees can make to their devices.If you're part of an enterprise, contact your IT administrator if you have any questions or issues with your UEFI password. If you aren't part of an enterprise and choose to create a UEFI password, make sure to document your password in a safe place.

Use the Windows Quick Assist app to get help with a computer problem from family or friends or help them out. Quick Assist uses a remote connection, so remember to only use it with people you trust, since they can see your computer screen or control your PC (if you allow it).

The Advanced Boot Options screen lets you start Windows in advanced troubleshooting modes. You can access the menu by turning on your computer and pressing the F8 key before Windows starts.

Turn on Find my device. When you set up a new device, you can decide whether to turn on or turn off the Find my device setting. If you turned it off during setup and now want to turn it on, make sure your Windows device is connected to the internet, has enough battery power so it can send its location, and that you're signed in to the device using your Microsoft account.
