Connecting to the internet when you’re setting up your Windows 10 or 11 PC ensures you get the latest features and security updates. You’ll need an internet connection to finish setting up a device running Windows 10 Home or Windows 11 Home / Pro.

Choose a language from the Windows display language menu, or, next to Preferred languages, select Add a language to install the one you want if it isn't listed.

If your screen only has a Mini DisplayPort, you can set up the following connections—connect a USB-C to HDMI adapter to an HDMI cable then to an HDMI to Mini DisplayPort and then to your external screen. Keep in mind that the more adapters used, the more degraded the signal may get.

Go to Devices > Printers & scanners > select a printer > Manage.Then select Set as default. If you don't see the Set as default option, the Let Windows manage my default printer option may be selected.You'll need to clear that selection before you can choose a default printer on your own. For the website(s) you would like to allow scripting, enter the address within the Add this website to the zone text box and click Add. Note: If the address does not begin with "https:", you many need to uncheck "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone".
