Click the blue folder icon next to the Compare box to browse to the location of the earlier version of your workbook. Show different calculations in PivotTable value fields
To show calculations side by side with the values they’re based on (for example, to show the % of Grand Total next to the subtotal), first you need to duplicate the value field by adding it more than once. Compare two or more worksheets at the same time
On the View tab, in the Window group, click View Side by Side.. If you have more than two workbooks open, Excel displays the Compare Side by Side dialog box. In this dialog box, under Compare Side by Side with, click the workbook that contains the worksheet that you want to compare with your active worksheet, and then click OK.

Compare document differences using the legal blackline option
Choose Combine revisions from multiple authors into a single document instead. Open the documents that you want to compare. On the Review tab, in the Compare group, click Compare. Click Compare two versions of a document (legal blackline). Under Original document, browse for the document that you want to use as the original document.
