How to check if your email address is a Microsoft account
If you don't have a Microsoft account, or you want to create a new one, you can follow these steps: Go to the Microsoft account sign-up page and click on Create account. Enter your preferred email address, or click on Get a new email address to get a new one from Microsoft. You can choose from @outlook.com or @hotmail.com domains.

Add or manage an iCloud email account in Outlook
If two-factor authentication isn't set up, you should be able to use your regular password. Enter your password and select Connect. However, if two-factor authentication is set up, you'll need to generate an app-password. Follow the steps in the section Outlook won't accept my password.
