Open your Windows Security settings. Select Virus & threat protection > Protection history. The Microsoft Defender Offline scan will automatically detect and remove or quarantine malware. Reset the Microsoft Store cache: Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe, and then select OK. Note: A blank Command Prompt window will open, and after about ten seconds the window will close and Microsoft Store will open automatically.

To check if Windows 11 is ready for your device, go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and select Check for updates. If the upgrade is available for your device and you want to proceed, download and install it. Note: Downloading and installing Windows 11 will most likely take longer than a typical Windows 10 feature update.

The good news is you can probably free up a lot of space on your PC running Windows by following the tips here. But if you keep getting messages about low drive space, you might want to consider other options, including adding additional removable storage. Sign in to Office.com and go to OneDrive. Select My Files. Choose where you want to upload a file or folder. Select Upload > Files or Folders. Find what you want to upload and select Open . Or, you can select files or folders on your computer and drag them into the OneDrive web browser window.

Use Outlook in the new Microsoft Edge. In Microsoft Edge, sign in to your Outlook on the web or Outlook.com account. Select Settings and more at the top of the window. Select Apps > Install this site as an app.

Windows Android Mac. From the Microsoft Defender dashboard. Select Device details. Select Manage in Windows Security. Select Quick scan. Tips: If you want a deeper scan, instead of selecting Quick scan in step 3, select Scan options and choose the type of scan you want. For the most complete scan, run Microsoft Defender Offline.
