Windows Mail and Calendar apps. If you're using Windows Mail and Calendar and your accounts are supported in new Outlook, you will see a toggle in the upper right of the Mail app in Windows 10 and 11 to Try the new Outlook.. This option downloads the new app and switches your preferred email client.

Important: Before trying any of the solutions below, make sure you back up your personal files. You can back up your Windows PC, or insert a USB drive and use File Explorer to drag and copy important files to the USB drive.If you’re signing into Windows with a Microsoft account, your system settings will be automatically restored after updating, once you’re connected to the internet.

Tip: If you installed the Microsoft 365 apps as part of a suite, such as Office Home and Student or Microsoft 365, search for the suite name.For stand-alone apps search by the app name, such as Project or Visio. In most cases you can't uninstall an individual app if it's included in your Microsoft 365 suite.

On your home router. Try these things first to help you fix or narrow down the connection problem. Check the Ethernet cable and connection.Make sure the Ethernet cable is securely plugged into the Ethernet port on both your router and Windows 11 PC.

Note: If it’s been fewer than 10 days since you upgraded to Windows 10, your previous version of Windows will be listed as a system file you can delete.If you need to free up drive space, you can delete it, but keep in mind that you'll be deleting your Windows.old folder, which contains files that give you the option to go back to your previous version of Windows.

If you can't find a file on your computer or you accidently modified or deleted a file, you can restore it from a backup (if you're using Windows backup) or you can try to restore it from a previous version.Previous versions are copies of files and folders that Windows automatically saves as part of a restore point.

In the Add-Ins dialog box, select the check boxes the add-ins that you want to use, and then click OK. If Excel displays a message that states it can't run this add-in and prompts you to install it, click Yes to install the add-ins. For more information about how to use add-ins, see Add or remove add-ins.

Right-click the app, select More, and then select Open file location.This opens the location where the shortcut to the app is saved. If there isn't an option for Open file location, it means the app can't run at startup.
