Existing Hotmail, Live, Outlook.com, and MSN addresses can't be added as aliases, and you can't add an alias that is already associated with another Microsoft account. It isn't possible to create a new alias using @hotmail, @live.com, or @msn.com.

Notes: You can either use an email address you own as a Microsoft account, or create a new address by choosing "Get a new email address" or "Use your email instead" when you sign up.

If your device isn't regularly receiving quality updates, because of low disk space or have low activity, this may prevent the device from installing the Update Health Tools. If you currently don't have the client installed, you can then try triggering a normal Windows Update scan.

If you have a good antivirus program installed, make sure it's up to date and then do a full scan of your system. If you don't have an antivirus app installed on your PC, Microsoft offers some solutions if you're running Windows 8.1 or Windows 10/11. Advanced settings - This will open the classic Windows Defender Firewall tool which lets you create inbound or outbound rules, connection security rules, and see monitoring logs for the firewall. Most people won't want to dig into it that deeply; adding, changing, or deleting rules incorrectly can cause your system to be more vulnerable or can cause some apps not to work.

Windows share window: Select the Outlook icon in the “Share using” section of the Windows share window to email your files using Outlook directly within the windows share window.It also has a search box. So, you can now search for contacts across Outlook to share a file. The Windows share window also displays 8-10 suggested contacts to quickly share to–including emailing yourself a file.
