In an app, press Ctrl + V to use the default paste, which adds a link with the title of the page as the link text. If you're pasting into an app or website in Microsoft Edge, you can also right-click, select Paste as on the context menu, and then select Link (Default) from the sub-menu.

In addition to the File menu, you can turn this feature on or off right from the context menu of a One Drive or SharePoint-hosted Word, Excel, or PowerPoint document URL appearing in a Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Outlook Windows application. The context menu also allows you to choose a one-time file open behavior for a specific link by using the Open With menu option.

To check activation status in Windows 11, select the Start button, and then select Settings > System and then select Activation .. Your activation status will be listed next to Activation..
