Select Update Driver. If Windows doesn't find a new driver, you can try looking for one on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions. Reinstall the device driver. In the search box on the taskbar, enter device manager, then select Device Manager.

You can quickly check the health of your Surface drivers and firmware using the Surface app. Open the Surface app.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide, select Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Controllers & headsets, and then select the controller you want to update. On the Xbox Wireless Controller screen, select “…” to check the firmware version for your controller.

Open the Xbox app for PC and go to My Library. Right-click on any installed game in the side bar and select Manage. Go to the Files tab and select Browse. Select the desired game folder and then add the appropriate mod files to the appropriate folders based on the individual mod’s needs and instructions. Things to keep in mind:

On Windows 10, select Update & Security. On Windows 11, select Windows Update. On the Windows Update page, select Check for updates to see if any updates are available for your device. After the updates have downloaded, select Install now to start the installation.
