To delete your search history, you need to clear it. Tip: If you can't turn off search history, enable JavaScript and cookies in your browser, and then try again. To clear a single search from history, on the Search History page, click the X next to the search you want to delete.

In Microsoft Edge, select Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Clear Browsing data. Select Choose what to clear next to Clear browsing data now.
How Microsoft stores and maintains your search history
It also provides a convenient way to clear your search history. Deleting your search history removes it from your Microsoft account. Searches made while not signed in to your Microsoft account are unaffected by these settings, and will not be displayed on the privacy dashboard.
