Follow these steps to automatically diagnose and repair problems with files and folders in Windows. These problems might include the inablility to delete files or folders from the Recycle Bin, or troubles with trying to copy, move, rename, or delete a file. Select the Download button on this page.

Ensure that Show desktop icons is checked. If not, select it. If your desktop shows icons, but the Recycle Bin is missing, verify that it's not disabled in your desktop settings. The Recycle Bin icon should be displayed on your desktop.

To fix this problem, you’ll need to reset the Store, clear the Store cache, and run the Windows Update troubleshooter: To clear the Microsoft Store cache, press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the Run dialog box, then type wsreset.exe and select OK.
