Manage your contacts in Microsoft Teams for personal use

The People tab in Microsoft Teams for personal use makes it easy to manage your contacts and stay connected with your chat participants, collaborators, and community members. 

View your contacts

In the People tab, you'll see a list of people you've interacted with in Teams for personal use, including those in your chats, group chats, and communities. 

Note

Contact visibility in the People tab is based on your privacy settings. Learn more about privacy settings: Manage privacy settings in Microsoft Teams for personal use

To view your contacts:

  1. Go to the People tab.

  2. Select All Contacts where you see your contact's information (such as name, email, and phone number). Next to your contact's name you can select:

    1. Chat: A chat window will open for you to compose your message.
    2. Call: A call window will open and dial your contact.
    3. Block: Under More options  Generic Ellipsis button , choose Block. Learn more about blocking contacts: Block a contact in Microsoft Teams for personal use
    4. Delete: Under More options  Generic Ellipsis button , choose Delete. If you delete a contact, they will be removed from the block list and will be able to contact you again.

Note

Choose Active Now to see which contacts are currently using Teams for personal use.

Search and filter

You can find contacts by name or email. Use filters to view contacts by community or recent activity.
