The new browser recommended by Microsoft is here
Get speed, security, and privacy with the new Microsoft Edge .
Microsoft Edge remembers information for you, making it easier to return to a favorite site or fill in forms. Unless you use an InPrivate window, it stores your browsing history—your passwords, info you've entered in forms, sites you've visited, and other information too.
Most of this info is stored on your PC only, but if you use Cortana, some info is also stored in the cloud so Cortana can bring you timely and personal suggestions and assistance.
You can easily see your browser history—just select Favorites > History . And any time you want to clear the history, you can.
