Visuele C++ 2013 x64 CRT-update voor illegale instructie-uitzonderingen in wiskundige functies

Symptomen

Met sommige wiskundige bibliotheekfuncties met drijvende komma in de Visual C++ 2013 x64 C Runtime (CRT) wordt niet correct gecontroleerd of bepaalde AVX- en FMA3-instructies beschikbaar zijn voordat de functies deze proberen te gebruiken. Als de instructies niet beschikbaar zijn voor gebruik, veroorzaken aanroepen van deze functies een ongeldige instructie-uitzondering (0xc000001d). Betrokken functies zijn onder andere log, log10 en pow. 

Dit probleem treedt waarschijnlijk op in de volgende scenario's:

  • In een oude versie van het Windows-besturingssysteem die geen ondersteuning biedt voor AVX-statusbesparing (bijvoorbeeld Windows Vista) als dit wordt gebruikt op een computer die de AVX-instructieset ondersteunt

  • Als AVX-statusbesparing expliciet is uitgeschakeld in de opstartconfiguratie van het besturingssysteem

  • In de Windows Preinstall Environment (Windows PE)

    Opmerking: Windows PE biedt geen ondersteuning voor AVX-statusbesparing.

Oorzaak

Dit probleem treedt op omdat de Visual C++ 2013 x64 C Runtime niet controleert of het besturingssysteem AVX-statusbesparing ondersteunt voordat AVX- of FMA3-instructies worden uitgevoerd.

Oplossing

Deze update voor het herdistribueerbare pakket voor Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Update 5 wordt uitgebracht als een download-only update en wordt niet gedistribueerd via Windows Update. Herdistributie van deze update is toegestaan, onder dezelfde licentievoorwaarden als die welke worden verleend door de release van Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 Update 5.
