Smart App Control: Use this section to configure Smart App Control, which is a security feature designed to block apps that are potentially harmful, such as those that might slow down your PC, display unexpected ads, or offer unwanted software.

Potentially unwanted applications (PUA) are a category of software that can cause your device to run slowly, display unexpected ads, or at worst, install other software which may be more harmful or annoying. PUA isn’t malware, but it is software that you often don’t need and probably don’t want.

You're unable to view data types because of your current privacy settings. Open the Trust Center: Select File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings. To have Excel prompt users to allow viewing of data types, select Prompt user about linked data types.

Notes: This troubleshooter might be in English only. However, the automatic fix also works for versions of Windows in other languages. If you're not on the computer that has the problem, save the troubleshooter to a flash drive or a CD, and then run it on the computer that has the problem.

You can repair some apps and programs if they're not running correctly. Note that you won't see repair, change, or modify options for all apps and programs. Repair options from the Settings page. Select Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps. Select the More icon next to the app you want to fix.

Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps or Apps & features to change whether you're shown app recommendations when trying to install apps from outside the Store.
