Insert 2 AA batteries into your Xbox Wireless Controller. Connect your controller to your console by pressing and holding the Pair button on each. The Pair button is found on the back of the controller (between the bumpers) and the front of the console (next to the USB port).; Press the Xbox button on your controller to power it on. It should immediately connect to your new console.

If your camera is unable to capture the QR code, you can manually add your account information to the Microsoft Authenticator app for two-factor verification. This works for work or school accounts and non-Microsoft accounts. The codes provided for your accounts aren't case-sensitive and don't require spaces when added into the Authenticator app.

We have moved the social tab in the Xbox app. You can now find an expandable and collapsible Friends tab in the bottom-right corner of the app by default. You can even pop this tab out and click and drag it to a place that best fits your needs allowing quick access to your friends, chats, and parties while gaming.
