Permanent bans are never issued lightly, and only occur after severe or repeated violations of the Community Standards for Xbox. Because of the seriousness of these violations, and to keep other players safe, permanently banned profiles are blocked from accessing the Xbox network in any capacity.

Note: If you see the icon next to the On/Off toggle for an app, you can select it to see the registry location that contains the path for the app. Apps installed through Microsoft Store (.MSIX apps) don’t have these icons. Turn on Find my device. When you set up a new device, you can decide whether to turn on or turn off the Find my device setting.
