Welcome to DAX Copilot. This quick start guide shows you how to get started using DAX Copilot. Discover how to create your first recording and how to find the AI features and functionality in the application.

Note

The features and functionality available to you might vary based on your organization's configuration, language settings, and whether you're using the web, mobile, desktop, or embedded app.

First, ensure that DAX Copilot SmartSections are added to your note

Your Epic Hyperdrive note must include one or more DAX Copilot SmartSections to display AI-generated summaries. Use an existing SmartPhrase that contains the SmartSections, or add them manually using the following dot phrases:

  • HPI (.hpisec)
  • Assessment and Plan (.apsec)
  • Physical Exam (.pesec)
  • Results (.resultsec)

Record your first patient encounter

  1. Open Epic Haiku or Canto on your mobile device and select a patient.
  2. Patient consent must be obtained ahead of ambient usage. Follow your organization’s guidelines to obtain patient consent before using DAX Copilot.
  3. Select DAX Copilot at the bottom of the screen.
