When you use Link to Windows with your Android in Microsoft Teams (free), your SMS text messages and contacts come together all in one place.

In Teams, go to More options next to your profile picture.

Choose Settings .

In Settings , choose Mobile device.

Select Link your phone.

After the QR code appears on your desktop, scan the QR code with your phone.
After pairing is complete, you'll see your SMS text messages in your Chats under Recent. Your SMS text messages and the most recent chats from Teams are now in one place to view.
Note: Link to Windows app is preinstalled on select mobile devices running Android 9.0 or later. For all other Android devices running Android 7.0 or later, you'll be prompted to download the Link to Windows app from the Google Play Store.
Check if your Microsoft Account is linked
You'll need to check the Link to Windows app on your phone to see if your Microsoft Account (MSA) is under the linked accounts option.

Scan the QR code again with your phone.

Continue with the linking process until you see Manage linked accounts.

Check the account listed and make sure it's correct.

If you don't see your account or see an incorrect account, delete it, and then try to pair your phone again from the Chat window.
Check for a Teams update

In Teams, select And more .

Go to Settings and choose About Teams.

Look under Version to see if you have the latest version or need to Update now.
Close and restart Teams

Close and restart Teams.

Retry steps linking your phone to Teams.
You can unlink your Android phone in different ways depending on the Teams version you are using.

In Teams, select More options at the top of the window > Settings .

Select Mobile device .

Select Disconnect SMS messages to discontinue sending and receiving SMS text messages on Teams or Cancel to exit without submitting any changes.
If you disconnect SMS messages, your text messages will be removed when you restart Teams.
Note: After disconnecting your Android from Teams, your phone remains linked with Link to Windows. You can unlink a device in the Link to Windows app at any time.
