Use commands in Microsoft Teams Free
Slash commands are keyboard-driven navigation that helps users work more efficiently by providing an alternative to touchscreen. Using commands, like keyboard shortcuts, can also help users who have mobility and vision disabilities.
You can use slash commands to quickly navigate to chats and communities, set your status apps, and add details to your messages in Teams Free.
Note: Slash and /goto commands are currently unavailable in Teams for mobile.
Use /goto command
The /goto command helps you navigate chats or communities from the search bar or as a keyboard shortcut.
From the search bar

Click the search bar at the top of Teams.

Type /goto followed by the name of the chat or community you want to access. Or you can select one of the options from the drop-down menu that appears.

Press Enter to jump directly to your destination.
Use the keyboard shortcut

Press Ctrl+G to activate “Go to” mode.

Start typing the name of your chat or community. Or you can select one of the options from the drop-down menu that appears.

Select your destination from the suggestions and press Enter.
Use slash commands
Slash commands are keyboard shortcuts for performing common tasks in Teams.
Note: Slash commands are currently unavailable in Teams for mobile.
To use slash commands:

Type / in the search box at the top of Teams. Select a command from the list and press Enter.

Type / in a chat compose box. Select a command from the list and then press Enter or Tab.
You can do the following using slash commands:

/available, /away, /busy, /brb, /dnd, /offline, /reset |

Navigate within Teams |
/goto, /window, /settings, /shortcuts, /meetnow |

To explore other commands, type / in the search or compose boxes.
Commands are available to everyone using Teams Free. However, you might see additional commands depending on where you use them.
