If your system is asking you for your BitLocker recovery key, the following information may help you locate your recovery key and understand why you're being asked to provide it. Important: Microsoft support is unable to provide, or recreate, a lost BitLocker recovery key.

Chat with a bot in a channel or group chat. Bots can contribute to channel and group chat conversations, such as providing important updates or helping a team organize its work. Typically, you or someone else @mentions a bot to interact with it, but some bots can play a more proactive role in conversations.

Restoring files from previous versions. Restore deleted files and folders or restore a file or folder to a previous state. Navigate to the folder that used to contain the file or folder, right-click it, and then select Restore previous versions.

To pin apps to the taskbar. Select Start , select the arrow next to All apps, right-click the app, then select More > Pin to taskbar. If the app is already open on the desktop, press and hold (or right click) the app's taskbar icon, and then select Pin to taskbar.

Record a meeting in Microsoft Teams. Desktop Mobile. Any Teams meeting or call can be recorded for future viewing. The recording captures audio, video, and screen sharing activity, and you can share it securely across your organization. A recording will expire and be automatically deleted after a set period of time.

Get started with Copilot. To get started, open the Copilot app from the Start menu or use the Copilot icon if present on your Windows taskbar. If your device keyboard includes a dedicated Copilot key, you can also use it to launch Copilot.

Possible causes. Make sure your PC, the external display, and the cable all support DisplayPort or MHL alternate modes. Make sure the device or dongle is connected directly to your PC. Make sure the device or dongle is connected to the USB-C port on your PC that supports the correct Alternate Mode.

If you don't have an account, follow these steps to join. If you're having trouble joining a Teams meeting, try I can't join a Teams meeting. Note: For some meetings, admin settings prevent people who are not signed in from joining the meeting.

If you don't want to record or transcribe confidential meetings in Teams, you can still engage with Copilot when it's set to "Only during the meeting" in your Meeting options. When you join a meeting, select Copilot to open it on the right of the meeting view.

Select the Files or Shared tab in the meeting chat, channel, or meeting in calendar. Find and select the file. Select More options > Download . Only the meeting organizer can download the recording.
