Outlook add-ins provide solutions to help you better interact with Outlook and complete tasks on your messages and appointments without leaving Outlook. Some add-ins are installed by your email administrator, but you can install other ones from the Office Store.

Get an Office Store add-in. On the Insert tab, look for the Add-ins group. To get new add-ins, select Get Add-ins. To use add-ins you already have, select My Add-ins . The add-ins you'll see will depend on the kind of Microsoft 365 subscription you have.

New Outlook for Windows. As you start the new Outlook for Windows for the first time, you'll be asked during set up whether you want to import your settings and install your existing Outlook for Windows add-ins, so your new experience feels familiar.

Add or remove an automation add-in. Add-ins provide optional commands and features for Microsoft Excel. By default, add-ins are not immediately available in Excel, so you must first install and (in some cases) activate these add-ins so that you can use them.
