What is Bookings?

Bookings in Microsoft Teams lets you track, manage, and organize your team's appointments and calendars all in one place. You can create a Bookings calendar and add team members to it, build new appointment types, and create and manage in-person and virtual visits for your staff and attendees.

Overview of the Bookings app in Teams. The Bookings app in Microsoft Teams offers a simple way to schedule virtual appointments, like healthcare visits, financial consultations, or educator office hours.. Schedulers can manage multiple department and staff calendars, as well as communications with internal and external attendees, from a single experience.

Customize your booking page

Note: Bookings is turned on by default for customers who have the Microsoft 365 Business Standard, or Microsoft 365 A3 and Microsoft 365 A5 subscriptions.Bookings is also available to customers who have Office 365 Enterprise E3 and Office 365 Enterprise E5, but it is turned off by default.

Add staff and view a Bookings calendar

In Bookings, select Add staff > Staff. Type in who you want, and select Add. If you want, you can add more than one person at a time. New staff members appear in your calendar. For staff members: If you’ve been added to a Bookings calendar, select Manage membership in your welcome email, then confirm your membership.

Set up a booking calendar for a business or department

Search for Bookings, select it, and hit Add. 2. Log in then select Get started. 3. Choose either New booking calendar or Existing booking calendar. If you choose Existing booking calendar, search for your organization or department name, hit enter, and choose the exact match. If you choose New booking calendar, fill out the form.

Create your staff list

Although Bookings is a feature of Microsoft 365, not all of your staff members are required to have a Microsoft 365 account. All staff members should have a valid email address so they can receive bookings and schedule changes. Watch this video or follow the steps below to add your staff.

Add staff to your booking calendar in Microsoft Teams

Select Add Staff from the upper right side of the app. Type a name or email address, select an exact match, and hit Add. Choose a role from the dropdown next to the staff name. Each role is described in the table below. Receive meeting invites to bookings in Outlook.
