Get started with the Dragon Copilot experience for radiologists

This article includes the following topics to help you get started and become familiar with Dragon Copilot's capabilities. Use this section to quickly locate essential information and features as you begin your journey with Dragon Copilot.

Dragon Copilot (radiologists) terminology

AI draft

Uses third-party AI to create a draft report based on the imaging study.

Chat

Lets you query a range of healthcare knowledge sources at any time during your PowerScribe One workflow, both when an exam is open or when there are no exams open.

HAS

Healthcare agent service used in Chat. Learn more about HAS.

Optimization

Uses third‑party AI to review draft report text and recommend improvements for better clinical documentation and to avoid billing errors.

Prior reports summary (PRS)

View an AI-generated summary that includes patient’s history, pertinent findings, and other relevant history. Select provenances to highlight where the context is found within a prior report.

PSO

The abbreviation for PowerScribe One.

Referenced priors

Displays a list of patient's prior reports from the PowerScribe One database for the patient currently open.

Summary

Displays the Prior report summary and Referenced priors when you open a report in PowerScribe One.

Sign in to Dragon Copilot (radiologists)

Follow these steps to sign in to Dragon Copilot:

  • Sign in to PowerScribe One by using your organization’s standard process. Steps might vary based on your configuration. For example, signing in to PACS might automatically launch PowerScribe One.

  • You may be prompted to sign in with your Windows credentials to access Dragon Copilot, depending on your organization's authentication policies.

  • When you first sign in to a workstation after Dragon Copilot is installed on your PowerScribe One server, you will be prompted to install Dragon Copilot on your account on the workstation.

  • After the install finishes, you're prompted again to choose your Windows credentials to sign in to Dragon Copilot application.

    Note

    Subsequent sign ins to Dragon Copilot prompt only once for your Windows credentials.

  • If your user account has permission, Dragon Copilot will launch on your workstation.

Dragon Copilot (radiologists) elements

Dragon Copilot is organized into intuitive tabs, each offering distinct features and tools to support your workflow:

  • Chat: Query knowledgeable and credible healthcare sources.

  • Summary: Access Prior reports summary (PRS) and Referenced priors.

    • PRS: View an AI generative summary that includes patient’s history, pertinent findings, and other relevant history.
    • Referenced priors: Review the full list of patient’s priors from your PowerScribe One database.
  • AI draft: Review draft report or findings from third-party AI to incorporate into your report.

  • Optimization: Review AI recommendations to improve the quality of your report and optimize your billing practices.

Note

The AI draft and Optimization features might not be available within your organization. Consult with your administrator to confirm.

Share your feedback

Your feedback is important for the development team to improve Dragon Copilot (radiologists). You have two options to share your feedback:

  • Use face emojis directly in the PRS section for quick input.
  • Select the feedback icon in the upper right corner to provide more detailed input for all Dragon Copilot (radiologists) elements.

Personalize your workspace

Dragon Copilot gives you the option to adjust the window size and position.

  • You can select and drag the sides and corners of the Dragon Copilot window to adjust to your preference. When you make this adjustment, the app saves it for you on that specific workstation. If you move to another workstation or another user signs in to the original workstation, you might need to make more adjustments.
  • You can move and resize the Dragon Copilot window on any monitor.
  • Currently, the window is optimized for landscape monitors. You can place Dragon Copilot at the bottom when the monitor is in portrait mode but it might have limitations during Private Preview.

Settings and Help

The ellipses in the upper-right of the screen contain useful tools with resources and settings.

  • Access Settings for Dragon Copilot. Settings shows you the account you are currently using and the Privacy policy for Dragon Copilot.
  • Access Help for Dragon Copilot. Help connects you to Dragon Copilot learning content and support.
