Insert app content into a message

Some apps let you insert content from the app directly into Teams messages. These messages are chock full of info, have functionality, or simply look cool.

  1. To add an app with messaging capabilities, select More options More options button  beneath the box where you type a message.

  2. Choose an app and follow the prompts to add the app.

Note: Many apps require you to have an account and will prompt you to login with credentials during the set up process.

After adding the app, a small version of the app icon will appear next to your message formatting options. The image below shows what it looks like when three apps—Trello, SurveyMonkey, and Custom Stickers—have been added. As the number of added apps grows, not all of the small icons will be in view. Find the ones you can't immediately see under More options  More options button .

  3. To insert app content into a message, select the small app icon of your choosing, and follow the prompts of that particular app.
