If you're having trouble downloading or installing apps from the Microsoft Store, try these steps:
-
Make sure Windows has the latest update : Select check for updates now , and then select Check for updates . Or, select the Start button, then select Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates . If there is an available update, select Install now.
-
If updates for Windows were recently installed, you'll need to restart your PC before you can install apps from Microsoft Store. If your PC is having trouble installing Windows Updates, please try the troubleshooting steps at Fix Windows Update errors.
-
Run the troubleshooter: Select the Start button, and then select Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot , and then from the list select Windows Store apps > Run the troubleshooter.
-
Reset the Microsoft Store cache: Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe , and then select OK . A blank Command Prompt window will open, and after about ten seconds the window will close and Microsoft Store will open automatically.
