In order to switch back, you will need to revert back to Legacy Outlook, export local folders (aka On My Computer folders) to an archive file, reinstall Outlook 2016, and import the archive file.

To install a standalone version of classic Outlook for Windows, select your language from the dropdown, and then select Download. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
