Two approaches to creating pages

When creating pages with AI, you have two main approaches:

  • Creating pages from templates with prompts: This approach allows you to choose from a variety of ready-made templates, such as Newsletter, Event, Status Update, and Process. Templates provide a structured starting point, helping you quickly craft pages with a consistent look and feel. Once you select a template, you have the option to fill in keywords in the prompts that come with the template. Additionally, you can provide your own files for better results. This approach is ideal for users who prefer a guided experience or need to adhere to organization-specific designs.

  • Creating pages with open prompts: For those who enjoy a more flexible and creative approach, open prompts offer a dynamic way to generate page content. You can start by typing an open prompt at the top of your page, and AI will suggest visually appealing layouts and content ideas. This method is perfect for users who want to experiment with different designs and personalize their pages.

Creating a page from templates

  1. ​​​​​​​Start creating a new page with AI. Select the +New button in the command bar of your SharePoint site and select Page with AI.

  2. Select a template. Choose a template that suits your needs. You will find a variety of templates like newsletter, event, status update, and process.

  3. Use prompts to customize your page. Once you select a template, you have the option to fill in keywords in the prompts that come with the template. Additionally, you can provide your own files as sources of the page for better results.

  4. Preview your page. Preview your page to ensure everything looks good. Make any necessary adjustments to the content or layout.

  5. Publish. Once satisfied, save and publish your page.

  6. Share your feedback using thumbs up/down buttons.

Creating a page using open prompts

  1. Start creating a new page with AI. Select the +New button in the command bar of your SharePoint site and select Page with AI.

  2. Select the prompt box to create the page from open prompts. To create a page from open prompt, select the prompt box at the top of the page.

  3. Enter your prompt. For example, you might type "Create a resources page for Contoso Human Resources, featuring sections on policy documents, Contoso benefits, work at Contoso, learning and professional development, and reference materials."

  4. Generate Content. After entering your prompt, the AI will analyze your instructions and begin generating content. You will see sections of your page start to take shape, each tailored to your specifications.

  5. Review and Edit. As the content are generated, review each section and make any necessary edits. You can add, remove, or reorder sections to fit your needs.

  6. Preview your page. Preview your page to ensure everything looks perfect. Make any necessary adjustments to the content or layout.

  7. Publish. Once satisfied, save and publish your page.

  8. Share your feedback using thumbs up/down buttons.
