Create Addendum
Use an addendum to update or edit a report that is no longer editable while preserving the original report content. Addendums allow you to apply required corrections after a report has been finalized.
If a report has a transfer status of Queued, Sent, or any status other than Ready, you must create an addendum to make changes.
To create an addendum:
- Open the report.
- In the Report Editor, select Create Addendum.
The addendum preview area opens and is ready for dictation. The Sign button becomes active.
Final Report Transmit Grace Period
Your PowerScribe One system may be configured with a Final Report Transmit Grace Period. This setting allows you to revise a finalized report without creating an addendum, as long as the changes are made within the Grace Period.
Note
By default, the Grace Period is set to 2 minutes. Contact your PowerScribe system administrator to confirm whether this setting is enabled and to verify the configured time limit.
Addendum details
- The original report appears in a read-only pane below the addendum.
- You can resize the original report pane as needed.
- Custom fields can be added or updated while creating an addendum.
