In OneNote, you can place a printout in the background of a page to lock it in place. This makes it easier to draw on, annotate, or mark up diagrams, lessons, exercises, and handouts.
Note: Embedding a large printout file is not recommended if many people will be viewing your content.
Set a printout as the page background
-
Open the OneNote page where you want to add the printout.
-
Select Insert, then choose the option your version of OneNote provides for adding the printout, such as File Printout or Picture.
-
Choose the file or image you want to place on the page, then insert it.
-
After the printout appears on the page, right-click it and select Set Picture as Background.
After the printout is set as the background, students can write or draw on top of it without moving the original image.
