Charging your Surface
Use a Surface 140W USB-C Power Adapter or a USB Type-C PD charger with minimum 115W. You can charge your Surface Laptop Ultra using any of the USB-C ports. Surface Laptop Ultra includes two USB-C ports as well as a USB-C with Magnetic Connect port that supports charging up to 140W.
Every Surface Laptop Ultra includes a Magnetic Connect cable. To charge your laptop, plug the cable’s USB-C end into a compatible power adapter and attach its magnetic end to the laptop's USB-C with Magnetic Connect port.
If you are using the Surface 140 W USB-C Power Adapter, you can reverse the cable: attach the magnetic end to the adapter and use the USB-C end to charge a compatible USB-C device.
If charging Surface using a docking station, make sure that the dock supports a minimum of 115W of passthrough power to Surface.
If charging Surface using a USB Type-C PD charger, it is recommended that a minimum 115W of power is provided, and that the USB-C cable supports 5 amps.
Note
A USB-C charger that delivers less than the recommended 115 W may reduce charging speed and device performance, especially while your Surface Laptop Ultra is in use. The battery may charge slowly or not at all, and fast charging may be unavailable.
