Once you’ve created a Viva Amplify campaign in Microsoft 365, you can make changes to the campaign’s settings, including the name, description, thumbnail color and campaign site classifications.

Important: Viva Amplify campaign sites are built on top of SharePoint sites but don't always share the same site settings. If you or your admin update the SharePoint site settings, it might not always be reflected in Amplify unless otherwise stated in official Viva Amplify product documentation.

Change the campaign title, description, and sensitivity

Note: Any users with access to a campaign can update the settings of that campaign, no matter their role in the campaign.

  1. On the campaign overview page, select Settings to access the campaign settings panel.

  2. Make changes to the following fields as needed:

    1. Campaign name

    2. Campaign description

    3. Thumbnail color

  3. If you or your admin have enabled sensitivity labels for your SharePoint sites, Viva Amplify will comply and honor these labels for all campaigns and related assets at the site level. You can update the sensitivity labels in the campaign site settings. Learn more about creating and using sensitivity labels.

  4. Viva Amplify campaigns are private by default. The privacy settings can't be changed in Viva Amplify or SharePoint. It's strongly recommended that you use the default privacy settings.

Tip: Viva Amplify campaigns are private by default as they are meant to be a private collaborative space for communicators to plan and build their campaign publications with campaign members of their choice.  Unlike SharePoint sites, Viva Amplify does not support public campaign site settings for anyone in your organization to access.  To access a campaign, you must be directly invited by its owner or by your admin

  5. When you're finished making changes, select Save to make sure your edits are properly applied.
