Get started with Create in the Microsoft Copilot app

Create in the Microsoft Copilot app helps you quickly make images, banners, videos, posters, and more from a text description or a template. This article explains how to get started with Create, what you can make with your account type, and example prompts to try.

To use Copilot Create, you need an eligible Microsoft 365 subscription. If you're subscribed to Microsoft 365 Personal, Family, Premium, or Pro, some Copilot capabilities might have usage limits and are subject to change over time. Learn more about Copilot features and AI limits in Microsoft 365 Personal, Family, Premium, and Pro subscriptions. Work or school accounts without a Microsoft Copilot license can still use Create, but quality and performance might vary with service availability. Why use Create in the Microsoft Copilot app?

  • Fast: A quick way to create exactly the kind of content you need. Start from a text description or from a wide variety of templates.
  • Start on the web: Available anywhere you have a browser and an internet connection.
  • Finish wherever: Keep working on your creation on mobile, web, or in the desktop apps.

How to use Create

  1. Sign into Microsoft Copilot on your browser with your work or school account. You should see your name and picture at the bottom left corner of the screen.

  2. Select Create on the left side of the window.

  3. Select what you'd like to create, an image, banner, video, or more.

    Note

    For work and school accounts, your organization must enable Clipchamp for you to see and use Create a video in Copilot Create.

  4. Enter a description of what you want to create or select a template to start.
