Configure your note style in DAX Copilot for Epic
Why configure your note style
DAX Copilot generates SmartSection summaries in clinical documentation format tailored to your clinical specialty by default. But...one size doesn't fit all.
You can personalize a variety of style & format settings to suit your preferences, so your summaries are crated in the format you want with the least amount of editing. These can be applied automatically as you use DAX Copilot, or can be applied manually for specific circumstances.

DAX Copilot's specialty-specific AI enhancements are designed to meet your medical community’s unique documentation requirements and improve the overall quality of your clinical documentation.

Tip: Review the generated clinical summaries for your selected specialty, then consider using the additional personalization options described below. For more information, refer to AI specialty enhancements.

The Primary specialty setting in your DAX Copilot profile (Settings > Profile) determines the AI model used to generate the SmartSection summaries for your note.

Select "No format change" as the format option in the HPI, Physical Exam, Results, and A&P sections in Settings > Style & format to generate your clinical summaries in specialty-specific format.

Configure your style

Configure your style preferences in Settings > Style & format or select the gear icon beside the Apply my style button.

Toggle Auto-style on to automatically apply your style preferences to SmartSections when a new note is generated.

Expand the Style screen and choose your preferred options; changes are saved automatically.

Select Apply my style to test your settings

If you prefer not to enable Auto-style, select Apply my style to manually reformat your note.

Return to the Style & format screen to modify your preferences at any time or select Reset to default to undo your style selections.
