Troubleshooting DAX Copilot for Epic

Keep your DAX Copilot note summaries in sync with Epic

Your final signed note in Epic can include DAX Copilot SmartSection summaries, Epic SmartTools content, and manual edits.

Before you edit your note, keep the following points in mind:

  • Edits made directly in a DAX Copilot SmartSection in the Epic Note activity don't transfer to DAX Copilot.
  • Editing a SmartSection in Epic breaks the link between Epic and the DAX Copilot SmartSection.
  • If the link is broken, updates made in DAX Copilot won't appear in Epic unless you delete and reinsert the SmartSection.
  • Always add new recordings before making manual edits.

Adding a new recording automatically updates the relevant SmartSections in DAX Copilot and Epic when the SmartSection link remains intact.

Each new recording creates a new note version in DAX Copilot that includes all previous recordings for the encounter. This lets you update multiple SmartSections at the same time instead of editing each one manually.

Important

Manual edits made in DAX Copilot don't transfer to Epic until you select Sync to EHR.
