Navigate in-line alerts
Note
Feature availability may vary depending on your organization’s configuration and settings. For more information, contact your administrator.
In‑line alerts in PowerScribe One are real‑time notifications that appear during report creation to identify potential errors, inconsistencies, or items that may require review. Alerts display in the Navigator pane and/or the Smart Assist tab in the right pane of the Report Editor. These alerts support radiologists by surfacing issues during dictation, allowing them to review and address findings before finalizing and signing the report.
Smart Assist
Quality Check
This feature checks for Laterality mismatch, Sex mismatch and Critical test result/Actionable findings. To learn more, see Quality Check.
Note
Quality Check will automatically review and highlight discrepancies in your report. If the discrepancy is not resolved prior to signing, a pop-up warning will be displayed.
Clinical Guidance
Clinical Guidance is a real‑time feature that inserts evidence‑based guideline recommendations for specific findings such as pulmonary nodules, liver lesions, adnexal masses, and thyroid nodules.
When this alert appears, PowerScribe One has identified an available guideline that can be applied automatically.
To activate Clinical Guidance while reporting, say Activate guidance. The Clinical Guidance panel will open, and clinical language understanding (CLU) will automatically populate relevant findings for you. To learn more, see Clinical Guidance.
Follow Up Recommendations
Follow‑Up Recommendations automatically identify and extract follow‑up recommendations that are dictated or generated using Smart Impression or Clinical Guidance. When a Follow‑Up Recommendation alert appears, it indicates that the system has detected a follow‑up recommendation in the report.
The feature uses Clinical Language Understanding (CLU) to detect one or more recommendations in the report text and convert them into structured data fields.
If your site is integrated with Epic Radiant, you can select Flag for Review to notify the referring provider in Epic Radiant of the recommended follow‑up. To learn more, see Follow Up Recommendations.
Non-compliant field warning
Non‑compliant field warnings appear during dictation or report creation when a required fill‑in field is not completed correctly. This can occur with Pick List fields that have required Pick List options or with Custom Fields that have a built-in Pick List.
How to use in-line alerts
Dictate your report in the Report Editor.
Watch for consistency alerts that appear in real time. Any consistency alerts or considerations will appear in the following areas:- Navigator Pane.
- Smart Assist tab in the Right Pane.
- A pop-up notification that appears briefly shown at the bottom of the Report Panel.
- A yellow caution sign appears at the start of any line with a discrepancy in the report. Additionally, the word(s) with discrepancies will be underlined for easy identification.
Address and/or resolve any alerts or considerations presented. If items in the report are corrected, the applicable alert / consideration disappears. Once corrected, the alert will disappear.
After signing if you have enabled the setting Perform Quality Check at Signoff and if the alert and/or consideration are unresolved, a pop-up notification will appear stating Unresolved discrepancies have been detected. You can Review the discrepancies or select OK to ignore and continue.
