Order association

Order Association simplifies reporting by allowing multiple accession numbers or related studies to be combined into a single report (when supported by the EHR/EMR). This minimizes redundant dictation and supports a more efficient radiology workflow.

Note

You can control which Open Orders appear in the Procedure Data tab by configuring the Open Orders Property Match setting in Preferences.

Follow these steps to add/remove Open Orders:

  1. Go to Procedure Data in the right pane.
  2. Select Open Orders.
  3. Select the  icon in the Order Association panel to associate the desired order. You can also double‑click the open order tile to associate it.

This example illustrates how to associate the active CT Chest report with the available CT Abdomen and Pelvis order.

Note

  • To remove/disassociate an accession number from the order, select the  remove icon to the left of the accession number.
  • Unless configured by an administrator, there is no limit to the number of orders that can be associated. However, some EHR/EMR systems have their own limitations.
