Send to Editor

The Send to Editor feature allows you to route a report to an editor for review instead of self-editing. The editor verifies the report for accuracy and completeness, applies required corrections, and returns the report to you for signature.

Note

This feature must be enabled at your facility. If the option is not available, contact your administrator for assistance.

Send a report to the editor

  1. In the Report Editor, select Correct, or use the voice command Correct Report. The report is sent to an editor for review.
  2. If a report is returned for signature and you do not agree with the edits or additions, select Reject.
  3. When prompted, enter a note explaining the reason for rejection. The note is visible to the Editor.

Report statuses after sending to an editor

  • Pending correction: Reports sent to an Editor appear in your Pending Correction queue. You can reopen the report from this queue until the Editor opens it.
  • Corrections in progress (Editor): Once an Editor opens the report, it is locked while edits are in progress.
  • Pending Signature: After the Editor completes the review, the report is returned to you for signature.

Note

If enabled, Editors can also draft reports prior to the radiologist dictating the report. This workflow must be enabled by your PowerScribe Admin.
