New to PowerScribe One? See AutoText management to learn how to create and manage AutoText.
If a personal or site default AutoText is assigned to the procedure code you are dictating, it appears automatically when you open the study.
If the Report Editor is empty, you can insert AutoText by doing one of the following:
- Say your configured AutoText voice command (for example, AutoText) followed by the AutoText name (Preferences > Dictation > AutoText voice commands).
- For example, say AutoText CT Chest, where AutoText is the configured voice command and CT Chest is the AutoText name.
- Double-click the desired AutoText in the AutoText results pane.
When you use a voice command, the system inserts the AutoText at the current cursor location by default. Existing report content remains unchanged.
After insertion, navigate through report fields by:
- Using programmed microphone buttons.
- Saying Next Field or Previous Field.
- Saying Field followed by the field name.
Replacing the current template in the Report Editor
To replace the current template, use one of the following options:
- Select Replace in the AutoText preview pane.
- After selecting a template from the AutoText results pane, say Replace or Replace that.
- Select a template from the Default Template dropdown.
A confirmation dialog appears if the current report contains content.
Inserting additional templates in the Report Editor
To insert additional Templates in the Report Editor:
- Select Insert in the AutoText preview pane.
- After selecting a template from the AutoText results pane, say Insert or Insert that.
- Double-click the desired AutoText from the AutoText results pane.
- Use your configured AutoText voice command (AutoText/PowerScribe/Macro/Dictaphone) followed by the AutoText name.
Search for an AutoText
From the bottom pane, there are several ways to search for an AutoText to use in a report. First, select the desired menu from the dropdown. You can choose All Personal, All Site, All Users, or other relevant lists based on procedure categorization. After selecting the list, use the keyword search to look up AutoText by name. You can also open Custom Filters to refine your results further using more specific parameters. For more information, see Search for an AutoText.
