How PowerShare works
PowerShare securely connects healthcare facilities, providers, and patients through a cloud-based image exchange network. Imaging studies can be sent electronically between participating organizations, so you don't need CDs, DVDs, or other manual transfer methods. PowerShare also enables secure access to images through a web browser and can integrate with your PACS.
At a high level, the process works as follows:
- A PowerShare contact sends images through PowerShare.
- The receiving PowerShare account (facility, patient, provider) receives an email and/or notification in PowerShare.
- Signs into PowerShare by using the URL from a support browser.
- Once the sending process is complete, the images are available for viewing on the PowerShare Images page.
This process ensures images are delivered electronically while maintaining privacy and security.
