Dragon Copilot recognizes most words and phrases you use. If it doesn't recognize a word or phrase, add it to your vocabulary and use your voice to insert it.
Add a word or phrase
Under Settings
, select Library > Vocabulary.Select New item.
Enter the word or phrase.
Optionally, record your pronunciation and add one or more spoken forms.
Based on the word's spelling. To record how you pronounce the word or phrase, select Record pronunciation. When you finish, select Stop and save pronunciation.
If Dragon Copilot shows a message that the audio doesn’t match the word or phrase, you can record the pronunciation again, cancel the recording, or save the pronunciation as is.
Recording is optional. If you don't record audio, Dragon Copilot uses the spelling, including any spoken forms, to determine pronunciation.
Spoken form(s). Add spoken forms if the word or phrase sounds different from its spelling.
Tip
In the Vocabulary list, an icon marks words that include training audio.
Edit a word or phrase
- Under Settings
, select Library > Vocabulary.
- Select the word or phrase you want to edit.
- Make your changes.
- Select Save.
Note
You can edit only words and phrases that you added. To personalize a word or phrase shared by your organization, duplicate it first. Your changes are saved as your own item, and the organization’s shared item remains unchanged.
If your copy uses the same written form as the shared item, Dragon Copilot uses your copy during dictation.
Insert a word or phrase
To insert a saved word or phrase, place the cursor where you want it, turn on the dictation microphone, and say the word, phrase, or spoken form.
Disable or delete a word or phrase
If you don't want Dragon Copilot to recognize a word or phrase, disable or delete it.
When you disable a word or phrase, it stays in your vocabulary list under Disabled. You can re-enable it at any time.
When you delete a word or phrase, Dragon Copilot removes it from your vocabulary list. Add it again if you want to use it later.
Caution
Deleting a word or phrase removes it from Dragon Copilot and stops it from appearing in speech activities. If you want to use it again, add it back to your vocabulary.
