Duplicate existing library items, such as texts, prompts, templates, workflows, and vocabulary words or phrases, to quickly create personalized versions. Use this method for similar processes that need only small changes. Create a copy, then update only what you need.
Duplicate a library item
- In the library, open the item you want to copy. You can copy items you created or shared items.
- Select the Duplicate icon.
. Dragon Copilot copies the item including its description, content, and workflow steps. - Rename the copy and update it as needed.
- Select Save.
Example
Duplicate a text for a standard note, rename it for a different visit type, and update a few lines instead of starting from scratch.
Tip
Duplicate a library item when most of the content stays the same and you only need to update a few details, such as visit type, patient instructions, wording, or a workflow step.
Duplicate a shared vocabulary word or phrase
If your organization shares a vocabulary word or phrase with you, you can duplicate it to create your own version. After you save the duplicate, you can edit it, disable it, or add pronunciation audio.
Your copy is saved as your own vocabulary item. The organization’s shared item remains unchanged.
If your copy uses the same written form as the shared item, Dragon Copilot uses your copy during dictation.
Note
To stop using a shared vocabulary word or phrase, duplicate it first, then disable your copy.
