Microphone button settings let you control how supported microphone buttons behave in Dragon Copilot. Availability depends on the microphone you're using.
Before you begin
- Connect a microphone that supports programmable buttons.
- Sign in to Dragon Copilot on your device.
Open microphone button settings
You can access microphone button settings by using either of these methods:
- Select the drop-down menu next to the microphone icon and then select All mic settings.
- Select Settings
> Mic > Mic buttons.
Configure microphone buttons
Once you open the Mic buttons settings, select your microphone source from the list of supported microphones with programmable buttons.
If you're using a supported microphone with programmable buttons, you can configure each button with an action.
- Locate the button you want to configure.
- Select the drop-down menu next to the current action.
- Choose the new action from the menu.
Enable buttons when a supported microphone is detected
If Dragon Copilot detects a supported microphone with programmable buttons connected to your device, it displays an alert indicating that microphone buttons are available but not yet enabled.
Select Enable buttons to allow the buttons on your microphone to control actions in Dragon Copilot. Dragon Copilot applies microphone button settings to the current platform and saves them for future sessions.
What microphone buttons can do
When enabled and supported by the device, microphone buttons can be used to:
- Control dictation
- Trigger Dragon voice commands
- Navigate in Dragon Copilot
- Use keyboard shortcuts
- And more!
Note
- You need to enable buttons for each Dragon Copilot platform you're using (web or desktop).
- Button behavior depends on the microphone model and how the device exposes its buttons to the system.
If you select a microphone that has configurable buttons and also have another Dragon product such as Dragon Medical One open, Dragon Copilot displays an alert icon
noting the potential conflict. To avoid potential conflicts, either close the other Dragon product or select a different microphone.
